Abstract

The main goal of this paper is to offer a comparison between the traditional motors with advance motors. At past, DC motors were popular for electrical vehicles but advancement in technology makes PMBLDC based motors become popular. These all motors are radial motors. Now a day's all conventional radial motors like PMBLDC and induction motors are replaced by axial PMBLDC and induction motors. The first part of this paper compares conventional motors like DC Motor, induction motors, radial PMBLDC motors and SRM Motors with their torque-speed characteristics.. The second part of this paper compare the advance axial flux motors with conventional radial flux motors with simulation results.
