Abstract
Objective To investigate the accuracy of intraocular lens power calculation of cata- ract. Methods The axial length, keratometric power, the degrees of artificial lens and mean absolute refractive error, which were acquired by IOL Master and ultrasonic biometry and Obscan Ⅱ (the routine examination method) in 150 oyes of 134 patients suffered with cataract, and detectablerate, which was also calculated, were analyzed statistically. Results There was significant difference in detectablerate, keratometric power, intraocular lens power calculation and mean absolute refractive error (MAFE), and no significant difference in axial length between IOL Master and routine examina- tion method. Conclusions It is accurate and stable in biometry and intraocular lens power calculation of IOL Master, but it has smaller using scale than routine examination method. There is no relation between accuracy of IOL Master in power calculation and turbid level of lens, morphologic characteristics of the opacity and the ocular refraction of patients. Key words: IOL Master; A ultrasound biometry; Obscan Ⅱ; Biometry; IOL
