Abstract

We synthesized a derivative of the poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) containing a pendant alkyl chain that increases its solubility in CHCl 3 and THF. Optical and spectroelectrochemical properties are studied, using in situ Raman scattering and optical absorption spectroscopies. In situ Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) measurements are also reported. The results are compared to those obtained with the parent polymer.
