Abstract
We have synthesized a new nonionic surfactant with the chemical formula CH 2 =C(CH 3 )COO(CH 2 ) 11 (OCH 2 CH 2 ) 8 OCH 3 . This amphiphilic molecule contains the polymerizable methacrylate group at the end of the hydrophobic moiety, which permits preparation of polymeric nonionic surfactants. Isotropic aqueous solutions have been investigated by static and dynamic light scattering and viscometry in a broad concentration and temperature range
