Abstract
The experimental results for elastic electron scattering from 6Li are fitted using a cluster model. The value obtained for the r.m.s. radius of the alpha cluster is very close to that for a free alpha particle. This is in contrast to previous calculations using a shell model which indicated that in this model the alpha core in 6Li is considerably larger than the alpha particle. Electron scattering data do not distinguish between the two models.
