Abstract

At present, the impact sound insulation performance of the residential floor attracts increasing attention, which is a critical index to evaluate the physical performance of the residential building. Improving the sound insulation performance is an effective measure to improve the living quality and solve the contradictions between neighbors. Therefore, many sound insulation standards have been established to guide the design of building sound insulation. In this paper, comparisons between Chinese code and Eurocode on the impact sound insulation requirements of the residential floor were presented, including the evaluation parameter and the limit value of sound insulation. In addition, the applicability of limit value of sound insulation standard for each country was analyzed in detail through the existing experimental data of different floor structures, and then reasonable suggestions were put forward.

Highlights

  • With the rapid development of economy, the quality and the comfortability of buildings attract increasing attention, which encourages the real estate developers to develop boutique dwellings

  • The curve trends of airborne sound insulation standards in different countries are generally consistent, indicating that the airborne sound insulation has been relatively matured from measurement to evaluation

  • This paper presented the general situation of the impact sound insulation requirements for residential floor in Chinese Code and Eurocode, pointing out the rationality of parameters set for evaluating the sound insulation performance, it compared and analyzed the limit value requirements of the impact sound insulation for both

Summary

Introduction

With the rapid development of economy, the quality and the comfortability of buildings attract increasing attention, which encourages the real estate developers to develop boutique dwellings. Each country put forward concepts of "green building" and "passive house" to reduce damage and pollution to the environment caused by the construction industry, which are using the energy-saving and environmental-friendly materials to construct and to decorate the building. This policy is undoubtedly consistent with the higher demand of building quality.. Since the floor as the enclosure structure between apartments is the main way to spread the internal noise of the building, its sound insulation performance in the residential design should be paid special attention to. The applicability of each national standard was verified through multiple sets of experimental data and reasonable suggestions were proposed
