Abstract

Purpose: A variety of lid hygiene products are advocated for the management of blepharitis. Research has demonstrated patient preference for commercial formulations compared to “home remedies” such as diluted baby shampoo (DBS). This study investigated the short-term ocular and tear film effects of two different lid hygiene products. It was hypothesised that DBS would have greater adverse effects compared to the commercial formulation.
