Abstract

AbstractThe eye tracking technology is already being used in various research fields. However, only a few industrial eye tracking applications are available in the market due to the uncontrollable outcomes of the devices. For example, when the devices are used in a multi-monitoring environment, their outcomes are less consistent than a single monitoring environment. In addition, there are variances in accuracy and precision between eye tracking devices. Hence, it is necessary to compare the differences between various eye tracking devices in terms of accuracy and precision in different monitoring environments. In this study, we tested seven eye tracking devices in three different monitoring environments. The current study aims to compare the accuracy and precision of multiple eye tracking devices and identify the pros and cons of each system. The outcomes of this study might help researchers develop a better framework for the next generation of eye tracking devices.KeywordsEye trackingAccuracyPrecision
