Abstract

Introduction: Prostate cancer (PC) has a significant incidence (47,500/year) in the UK. Radical radiotherapy (RT) and prostatectomy (RP) are well-established treatments for PC. There is little evidence in the literature suggesting when one should be chosen over the other, so surgeons tend to use their clinical judgment. Due to this, we aimed to assess clinical outcomes, using published literature comparing both techniques as primary treatment options.
