Abstract
- In this literature review, authors try to understand the work done by other researchers on use of biodiesel and its effect on C I Engine Emission. Also, we try to understand possibilities of use of additives by studying the effect of the different additive on Biodiesel characteristics in CI Engine. It’s observed that use of Jatropha is very common as additive. Also, 20% proportion is showing good improvement in BTE and BSFC. But it results in increased NOx formation and also additional smoke formation. Also, we try to tabulate the effect of different additives on C I performance and emission to understand the behavior of it different operating condition. In all here we tried to tabulate the data regarding effect of biodiesel and additives on CI Engine Emission and performance for further studies in C I engine combustion improvement.
