Abstract
This study was aimed at determining the intrusive force exerted by the arch wires of various designs, alloys and dimensions activated at different levels and comparing them against the optimal intrusive force range. Wires used in present study were Australian Special Plus Wire (Sp+). Austral ian pulse straightened Premium Plus Wire (PS P+). Cobalt Chromium Wire (Co-Cr) and Stainless Steel Wire (S.S). Intrusive archwire designs tested in the study were Anchorage Bend, Burstone 's Intrusive Arch with helix and without helix, Mulligan's Intrusive Arch and Ricketts Intrusive Utility Arch . These wires were activated at 20 , 30° and 45°.
