Introduction

Completing a research project has become an accepted part of learning in universities, as a consequence of the widely recognized benefits of the research process for student learning. A research project offers students the chance to undertake a piece of research in an area of interest to them and pursue it through to completion [Dundalk Institute of Technology, 2011]. Research allows students to apply concepts and knowledge acquired in their studies. C the overall presentation of the completed study [Dundalk Institute of Technology, 2011]. Some supervisors prefer the supervision of qualitative research, while others prefer supervising quantitative research.
