Abstract
In Pakistan the potential threat to public health is bacteriological contamination of water. The inappropriate disposal of untreated industrial and municipal waste in water sources are the main causes of water pollution in Pakistan . Moringa Oleifera (MO) is the best and cheap purification source affordable by poor population .In this study an attempt was made to prepare MO tablet for water purification. MO tablet results are compared with locally available inorganic water purification tablets. These comparative studies focus on to check of physico-chemical parameters and bacteriological count of water treated with both organic and inorganic purification tablets. This research will provide natural and safe extract tablet for water purification for the first time. In nature water treated with MO extract has good organoleptic, chemical and biological properties.
