Abstract

The paper presents a comparative study of the filtration parameters in the case of passenger compartment filters designed for commercial vehicles. The research is aimed to determine the materials characteristic that may improve the quality of the air breathed by passengers in the given conditions of increasing the degree of pollution due to heavy traffic in large cities. Two dimensionally similar types of cabin filters were considered, having as filtering medium two types of materials: microporous cardboard and microporous cardboard with activated carbon insertion. In order to determine the filtration parameters, the particle retention capacity and the filtration efficiency.
