Abstract

This study aims to provide a new interpretation of female beauty coming from Chinese and Western civilization. Focusing on the subject of Aesthetic in China and the West, this thesis stars from the research’s results of the vision of human nature and the worship of Woman, which drive two different cultural psyches, and influence subsequently the ontology aesthetic in these two literatures. In this research, we will elaborate the way of the artistic demonstration and the adhesion of female body and soul between the West and China. The worship of female beauty is influenced by different cultural circumstances. So how people express it? Why they praise it ? In the West, Woman appears in each spiritual sphere, such as Myth, Philosophy and Religion, it signifies that a civilization attaches dominating value to the sentimental field. FurtherLove in Myth just helps the sentimental education in the Western civilization. While women in Chinese Mythology have neither Love nor Beauty. Moreover, Sentimental education in Chinese culture is lacking in adventurous mind. In contrast to the Western art, female body is confined in Chinese feudal society, this is an infrangible postulate in routine as in literature.
