Abstract
The gold standard to assess renal function is the measurement of glomerular filtration rate (GFR). New ultrasound contrast agent-specific quantitative imaging methods achieved many advances in the visualization of organ perfusion. The aim of this study was to evaluate the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) in quantitative diagnosis of chronic kidney dysfunction by comparing ultrasonographic indexes with GFR (urinary clearance of 99mTc-DTPA).
