Abstract

Background: Curative surgery is the only treatment to increase the survival in GBC. Standard surgical procedure in resectable GBC is extended cholecystectomy. This study was done to compare the clinicopathological features and the outcome among patients who underwent standard extended cholecystectomy (EC) alone and those with EC and enbloc excision of surrounding structure (ECP) .
