Abstract

SynopsisAn effective means of controlling peanut stem rot was developed by modifying conventional practices of culture. Response of the runner did not support the concept that runner peanuts are resistant to stem rot. The results suggest a probable basis for the concept's persistence—that with conventional cultivation S. rolfsii infection is easier to detect in bunch peanuts than in runner peanuts.
