Comparative Research on the Structure and Abundance of Beetles in some Orchards

Abstract

In 2008 species of beetles have been studied in som e orchards of apple, pear, plum, cherry and sour cherry fruit on the farm M arul de aur of the area B acaoani, Vaslui. Werecollected in total 217 specimens of beetles, belonging to 36 spe cies. Most specimens were collected from cherry orchards and sour cherry (82 samples), followed by the pear plantations (74 samples), apple (43 sample s samples) and plum (18 samplessamples). Species of beetles with the highest frequency and abundance were Harpalus distinguendus Duft., Drasterius bimaculatu s, Pseudoophonus rufipes, Opatrum sabulosum L., Harpalus tardus and Microlestes maurus.
