Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of retroperitoneoscopic nephron sparing surgery and radical nephrectomy on early kidney cancer. Methods The clinical data of 96 patients with early kidney cancer admitted in the Forth People’s Hospital of Xinxiang from January 2013 to October 2015 were retrospectively analyzed. According to treatment methods, 49 patients with retroperitoneoscopic nephron sparing surgery were enrolled in the experimental group, and 47 patients with retroperitoneoscopic radical nephrectomy were included in the control group. All patients were followed up for 2-3 years after surgery. The surgical indexes, renal function and follow-up condition were compared between the two groups. Results The intraoperative bleeding volume of experimental group was higher than that of control group, moreover, the operation time, drainage tube indwelling time and hospital stays of experimental group were longer than those of control group (P 0.05). Conclusions Retroperitoneoscopic nephron sparing surgery and radical nephrectomy in treatment of early kidney cancer are effective, but the former can preserve renal function to the greatest extent, and improve long-term survival rate. Key words: Early kidney cancer; Retroperitoneoscopic nephron sparing surgery; Retroperitoneoscopic radical nephrectomy
