Abstract

Faster and accurate phasor estimates are crucial for real-time analysis and control of power systems. Here we present a comparative analysis of some Taylor-Kalman filters phasor estimates. We compare information as frequency error, total vector error and rate frequency error. We show that the use of a frequency locked loop may improve the estimates according to the IEEE standard C37.118.1a-2011. Finally, a real-valued version of each Taylor-Kalman algorithm is proposed in order to reduce computational complexity.
