The data obtained as a comparative study of beef production at stable-and-pasture and industrial technologies conditions’ result are presented. For this purpose, there in the first series of experiments on the ZAO «Antonovskoye» and OOO «Energia» breeding farms the 40 steers of Black-and-white (group 1), Kalmyk (group 2) and Hereford breeds (group 3) were formed. Calmyk and Hereford steers up to age of 7-8 months old years in both farms with their mothers on full sucking were raised. After weaning from mothers, the 20 heads of 8-months old steers from each group together were kept, at stable-and-pasture technology conditions, with the expectation of 800-900 g of daily gain obtaining. For the second series of experiments, the 20 of 8-month old steers of each group for rearing on the OOO «Agropark-Razvilnoye» industrial complex were transferred and had free access to selffeeders with concentrates and coarse feeds. In the first series, the daily gain was 749-804 g, and in the second one - 1275-1360 g, in favor Herefords’ advantage. Therefore, the live weight of 18-month old steers by breeds amounted to 619,0 kg, 646,6 kg and 657,7 kg respectively or in 178-192 kg more than at stable-and-pasture technology. At the control slaughter, Hereford steers were superior significantly in both series of experiments in terms of carcass’s weight, muscle tissue and slaughter yield.
