Abstract

This article provides a brief comparative analysis of the medical problems of European countries. The problems that the Eastern European states are currently facing have been identified. Efforts are also being made by the EU member states in the organization and provision of health services and medical assistance. The healthcare system put into practice by the member states of the European Union aims to ensure everyone’s access to quality care, and their development has contributed to the considerable improvement of the health status of the European population, during the last decades.
