Abstract

In this paper, analysis and comparison of various voltage controllers for a direct AC-AC converter suitable for Aircraft Ground power Unit (AGPU) system is discussed. Simulation of the proposed converter is executed and behaviour of the system is studied for various load conditions. A source disturbance is created to check the capability of the system to cope with change in input. By using the open loop simulation parameters, a voltage control loop using P, PI and PID controller is designed and simulated. The expediency of the controller is tested by observing the converter’s response to changes in input parameters.
