Abstract

The article describes the results of experiments which was intended to compare the results of turning and traverse grinding of internal cylindrical surfaces of rings made of bearing steel (100Cr6) in hardened state (62±2 HRC). During experimental investigations particular attention has been paid to the machining performance and roughness of the machined surface. The results of research presented in this article confirm the advantage of the turning process over traverse grinding using grinding wheels with zone-diversified structure.
