Abstract

AHP method is one of the MCDM methods that break down complex problems into a hierarchical system and is used to choose the best alternative. Alternative priorities and criteria are used to assess alternatives. Basically by using the AHP method an alternative ranking can be obtained without having to combine with other outranking methods. But in some studies, there are those that combine the AHP method with other methods, one of which is the PROMETHEE method. In this study, a comparative analysis of the implementation of the AHP and AHP-PROMETHEE methods was carried out. The results of the comparison of the implementation of the AHP and AHP-PROMETHEE methods show the same results for the recommended participants accepted, only different sequences. A more appropriate method for resolving the problem of selecting trainees at the Bantul BLK is the AHPPROMETHEE method. The AHP method is suitable for weighting the criteria in this case study because the expected assessment for the selection of trainees in the Bantul BLK is that each criterion has a different priority. The PROMETHEE method is suitable for ranking because PROMETHEE determines the preference function for each of the most suitable criteria based on the data and decision-makers' decisions, to obtain an appropriate selection decision.
