Abstract

The effect of various concentrations of exogenous H2O2 (1 and 10 mM) during brief exposure times (15, 30, 45, and 60 min) on the formation of reactive oxygen species and development of the lipoper-oxidation process is investigated in chloroplasts of wheat variety Sharg characterized by high-temperature tolerance. It is found that the introduction of exogenous hydrogen peroxide up to the calculated concentration 1 mM leads to a twofold increase of its content in chloroplasts and threefold at 10 mM; in this case, the content of malonic dialdehyde increases slightly and that of diene and triene conjugates doesn’t change.
