Abstract

The important tasks that can be solved by software systems of intelligent decision support by the operator of the upper level of control systems are considered: coupling of the upper levels of software and hardware complexes with measuring equipment; interface of the upper levels of the software and hardware complex with adjacent systems; system scaling; elimination of information overload of the operator; improving reliability and competitiveness; assistance in making management decisions. A comparative analysis of two typical representatives of the operator’s work support software at the upper level of the control system is carried out: “Cruise” and “PORTAL”. The advantages of the software for supporting the operator’s work at the upper level of the “Cruise” control system in comparison with the “PORTAL” system are convincingly shown.
