Abstract

Downstream supply chain management plays a significant role in companies’ performance. Companies are challenged to find ways to meet the customer’s demands at an affordable cost. To achieve this, businesses must find out which part of the supply chain can be optimized and how it can be achieved. In this paper, we have compared how downstream supply chain different components functions in INDIA and some other countries. We have done this comparison based on the literature survey of various existing research papers on INDIA’s logistics system and some existing research papers on some other countries’ logistics systems. After a thorough reading of research papers, we have identified several parameters for comparison and have presented a possible solution to optimize INDIAN logistics systems. We hope that managers and researchers will make use of our research to achieve an even more concrete solution.
