AbstractThe main document, which has been elaborated and introduced by the national institute of standards and technologies of the USA (National Institute of Standards and Technology—NIST), and which defines the recommendations concerning the building of pseudorandom sequences generators with the using of various methods and a respective mathematical apparatus, is the national standard NIST Special Publication 800-90A “Recommendation for Random Number Generation Using Deterministic Random Bit Generators”. Let us examine the main statements of this document, which determine various approaches to the PRS-forming.
