Abstract

In this paper, a comparative analysis of conventional video codecs and compressive sensing video codec is presented. Initially, the state of the art CS video codec are compared to identify the best among them. Latter, the selected CS video codec is compared with conventional video codecs (H.263, H.264, DISCOVER). The idea is to provide a sense of coding performance among conventional and CS video codecs as such comparison is not completely valid. CS is based on simple-encoder complex-decoder paradigm which is counter of conventional video codecs.
