Abstract
Utilizing Killing spinors on spheres we show that N = 1, D = 10 supergravity admits compactifications to d = 2 and 3, which are: AdS 3 × S 7, AdS 3 × S 1 × S 6, AdS 3 × S 1 × S 3 × S 3, AdS 2 × S 8, AdS 2 × SU(3). In all these solutions the Yang-Mills field configuration is non-vanishing, and supersymmetry is broken.
