Abstract

ABSTRACTAn ultra‐wideband (UWB) power divider (PD) with an electronically tunable notch‐band based on single dual‐mode stepped‐impedance resonator (SIR) is investigated in this article. The proposed UWB PD is based on conventional Wilkinson PD, while two folded shunt quarter‐wavelength short‐circuited stubs are adding to two symmetrical output ports. The dual‐mode SIR with a varactor diode and dc bias is studied and used to generate desired tunable notched band. The predicted results are compared with measured data and good agreement is reported. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 55:2709–2712, 2013
