Abstract
A compact spurline design using spiral folding of the resonator is proposed. Length reduction of up to 83% is achieved making the technique useful for lower microwave frequencies. One-section spurline bandstop filters of both conventional and the new design with a centre frequency of 600 MHz have been tested and compared. There is satisfactory agreement between the performance of the new and the conventional designs.
