Abstract

AbstractA compact size sectoral fractal planar monopole antenna is proposed for wideband wireless application. The feed circuit is a 50‐Ω microstrip line with a matching section over a rectangular ground plane. The measured −10 dB reflection bandwidth for frequency range (3.22–6.55 GHz) is 68.04% covering WiMAX (3.4–3.6 and 3.7–4.2 GHz), Wi‐Fi 802.11y (3.6–3.7 GHz), and WLAN 802.11 (5.31–6.32 GHz).
