Abstract

Feasibility of compact radiation sources using photon storage technology is discussed. Photon storage technologies using super cavity with very high reflective mirror have been rapidly developed recently. The interaction of usual Compton scattering is enhanced by the photon storage in such cavity. The high brightness of radiation of the energy range of keV to more than 10 MeV will be obtained with compact systems by this method. These sources will meet the requirements of applications of lithography, angiography, fission product annihilation, intense positron source and so on.
