Abstract
ABSTRACTA series of compact bandpass filters with single‐ and dual‐band are proposed using the stepped impedance resonator (SIR) and tapped asymmetrical coupling path. The resonances are introduced by the SIR. Meanwhile, the tapped asymmetrical coupling path could use the controlled coupling for passband enhancement around the resonances for single‐ and dual‐band frequency responses. The equivalent circuit model of the proposed scheme is introduced. Based on the mechanism mentioned earlier, two compact bandpass filters with single‐ and dual‐band are designed with high performance.
