Abstract

A novel design of a dual-band power divider with coupled-line shunt elements is proposed. This configuration features very compact size (over 1/2 size-reduction as compared to the conventional π- or T-shaped network and quarter-wave coupled-line structure) over a reasonable frequency ratio range. First, design theory is presented, and the simulated and measured results of an implemented microstrip power divider operating at 900 and 2000 MHz are given for verification of the proposed method.
