Abstract
A compact magnetic spectrometer for high resolution He RBS and other types of ion beam analysis (IBA) has been designed and is currently under construction. This spectrometer is described, including its: energy resolution ( ∼ 1 2000 ), broad energy range (88%), compact size (0.9 m × 0.6 m × 0.3 m), electronic switching between 160° and 180°, UHV sample transfer system, and monolithic construction.
