Abstract

A novel compact MIMO antenna with high port isolation is presented in this paper. The designed antenna operates at 2.4 GHz with a bandwidth of 2.37–2.46 GHz. In order to improve the isolation between the ports of the two monopoles, a decoupling network is added into the circuit, and a slot is etched on the ground. Simulated and measured results illustrate that the proposed antenna obtains isolation higher than 35 dB while maintaining good impedance matching. The predicted results are compared with the measured data, and good agreement is found.
