Abstract

This article has as main theme the elaboration of a review of an academic article or a scientific article. It addresses the problem How to prepare a review of an academic or scientific article? Part of the hypothesis it is possible to guide the preparation of a review of an academic or scientific article from the methodological guidelines on the preparation of book reviews. The general objective is to explain how to prepare a review of an academic or scientific article, based on the methodological guidelines of how to prepare a review of a book. Its specific objectives are: to understand how a phrasal topic can generate a synthesis; understand how a synthesis can be paraphrased to give a summary; learn how to turn a summary into a review, using explicit third-party techniques and endorsement. It is justified because the review is a very common work in the universe of higher education, being interesting to teachers, students and society. This article represents a theoretical typology research, based on a bibliographic basis, fitting the literature review article modality.
