Abstract

The fixed-time commutator of gauge group generators in an anomalous gauge theory is calculated up to one-loop level using the BJL limit. The result agrees with the cohomological prediction. A necessary ingredient is the observation that the commutator of E a( x) with itself has an anomaly which violates the Jacobi identity, indicating the existence of three-cocycles.
