Abstract

The simple method of commutation torque ripple reduction in the high-speed (10000 rpm) brushless DC motor is presented in this paper. In this method hysteresis controllers of motor currents are used. The goal of work was to develop a control algorithm that could be implemented in the popular and cheap STM32 family of microcontrollers (ST Microelectronics). High-speed brushless DC motors are used in professional power tools, as an alternative to universal motors. This is the intended use for this motor.
