Abstract

As psychiatry attempts to evolve its concepts from therapy of individuals towards preventive psychiatry in the community, caretaking agents are postulated as playing an important part in promoting mental health. This study seeks to investigate the attitudes of one such caretaking agency - the clergy - to this prospective role.
