Leininger R.N., Ph.D. Madeleine M. Leininger, R.N., Ph.D., is the director of the Nurse Scientist Ph.D. Program in the School of Nursing at the University of Colorado. She holds a joint appointment as professor in the Department of Anthropology and the School of Nursing. She was director of the Graduate Program in Psychiatric Nursing at the University of Cincinnati from 1954–1960 and director of the Graduate Psychiatric Nursing Program at the University of Colorado from 1966–1968.
