Abstract
As a community nurse with a passionate interest in the future development of our profession, I am delighted to be taking on the challenge of being launch editor of British Journal of Community Health Nursing (BJCHN). I am also delighted that the Queen's Nursing Institute is supporting this venture so enthusiastically, and I look forward to working with them all, particularly their director Pippa Bagnall, who is to be our consultant editor. The potential of such an association during this period of exciting change, development and innovation in the life of community health care is felt to be immense by all those involved in the BJCHN.
