Abstract

The crystal structure and luminescent properties of new red phosphorBaNbF5.5(OH)1.5:Mn4+ were investigated by the powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and photo-luminescent spectra. The obtained samples with the single phase exhibit intense red emission with four groups of peaks under 473 nm light excitation. The white light-emitting diode fabricated with this red phosphorexhibits intense warm white light with appropriate optical properties.
