Abstract

ABSTRACT This article inquires into the psychic-sensory changes that occurred as the modern era turned into the postmodern era and electromagnetism supplanted dynamics as the basis of the ascendant scientific theory. The article explores communication and how shifting technologies infiltrated modes of expression. Philosophical scholars responding to these changes include Northrop Frye and Marshall McLuhan. Examples of changes in modes of communication will include works from Canada’s Group of Seven painters.
