Abstract

In this study, the researcher primarily focused on the communication means and knowledge initiatives engagement of selected residents of Barangay Pages, Cabanatuan City, Philippines. Two methods were utilized in acquiring data. One is the Key Informant Interviews in Cabanatuan, CDDRMO department head and Mayor's Secretary CDDRMO Response Team Head of Operations and Barangay Pages Secretary, for pre-information gathering as well as to establish rapport. Then, a survey questionnaire was distributed to the selected respondents to acquire primary data. The socio-demographic profile depicts that many of the respondents are 26-32 years old, are married, works as a tricycle driver and were able to reach high school. In terms of awareness, although Signage is the most commonly encountered communication means, Barangay assembly is the most preferred communication means by the respondents. Furthermore, a lot affirmed that they are completely aware of the Barangay initiatives. Whereas, many deemed that they always engage in the initiatives and interacts with stakeholders.
