Abstract

After reading this article, the radiologist will be able to describe the clinical and imaging features not only of Wilms tumor, the most common renal tumor in the pediatric age group, but also of other renal masses in children that may mimic Wilms tumor. This article deals with the most common malignant and benign renal tumors in children. Wilms tumor and clear cell sarcoma are the most common malignant tumors; mesoblastic nephroma and multilocular cystic nephroma are benign lesions. Renal cell sarcoma is rare but can appear similar to Wilms tumor on imaging.
